FIRST OCCUPANCY LICENCE (LPO)
Obtaining the First Occupation License (LPO) is the only way to legalize any type of construction, it is also necessary to contract and register supplies, such as water, electricity, etc.
It is an official document, issued by the public administration, after verifying that the building, housing or a construction in general has been built and executed following the technical work project that, previously, was presented to the competent public administration. It is also used to legalize small modifications made to the original work, provided that current legal regulations allow them to be legalized.
Likewise, the Junta de Andalucía requires the First Occupation License as an essential requirement to be able to use the home for tourist purposes and register it in the Andalusian Tourism Registry.
